Image research

This is the band Bloc Party, I found from this image that as well as almost every other Indie Rock band they dress casually. Each have a pair of jeans and a T Shirt, this differentiates them from mainstream bands such as JLS because they don't have the 'boy band' image, which makes them look perfect which the audience finds difficult to relate to. This band are quite recently formed which could have an effect on how they dress, as they wouldn't dress the same as a band such as The Rolling Stones.

Just like Bloc Party, The Killers are not wearing clothes that would make them stand out. They dress in comparison to their music. When a band first forms they may not consider their image because its all about their music, if they want to appeal to more people then they will dress accordingly to what they think their audience will want to see as some people like a certain image or style as some genres have to fit a certain dress code. This is what I will have to consider in my music video, if I want it to appeal to the target audience and fit in with the genre of the track. I learnt from this research that I will have to ensure I dress them in the correct way. In this case a bit rough, cool and casual because this might be what makes a person like a band not just the music alone.
