Contingency plan..

The contingency plan, similar to the risk assessment, addresses certain issues that may occur and ways in which we would overcome them. The contingency plan is created for an outcome that is different to what we initially planned. This again allows the day of filming to appear easier because we are able to avoid any disruptions, and have the ability to come together as a group and know what has got to be changed if we want to continue to meet the deadlines.
  • In case of rain…
We will be certain to film all interior scenes in the hope that the rain will stop when it comes to filming outside, however if the rain persists we will provide the actors coats/umbrellas, and ensure the camera is protected at all times. If it becomes impossible to film in the rain, if it is really heavy, we will be forced to reschedule filming for another day. This would not be as much of a problem because we provided ourselves with 8 days after our day of filming to reshoot any footage.
  • If an actor is ill…
We will stress the importance to the actors/actresses that they will have to let us know that they will not be able to make filming as early as possible. This will give us time to delay filming for the back up actors to arrive. We have two backups for Boy 1, and two backups for Boy 2. Other actors such as Mum and Little Girl can be replaced with one of the crew to transport the balaclava down the stairs.
  • If the camera breaks…
We will take all necessary precautions to avoid this happening, but in a scenario where something does stop us having access or use of the camera we have the opportunity to use a smaller, handy-cam. This will not stop us filming it will just alter the quality of footage.
  • If a member of the group does not show up for filming...
We will have to reschedule because it is vital that all members of the team are there on the day of filming so that we are able to agree on the footage for the video.
